Helpful Tips for Shoppers:

 

If you are shopping at a peak sales event, we ask that you please not save places in line.  It is not fair and is very disheartening to others waiting in line, only to see it swell in front of them as the doors open. 

 

If you are shopping a private sale, bringing a laundry basket and a beach towel are helpful.  Since space is so limited with shoppers packed in the aisles, we cannot offer shopping carts; however, we are happy for you to use laundry baskets to assist you in carrying your items.  The beach towels prove helpful as well.  They can be spread out on the floor for you to use when making stacks/piles of merchandise, which you intend to purchase.  Others know that those items actually belong to someone else.  The towel keeps items clean, and it provides you a place to sit down and catch your breath!

 

If you are shopping during the first morning of the public sale, we want you to be aware that a line usually forms.  We do our very best to move the line along at a rapid pace, and we attempt to keep your wait to the absolute minimum.  However, we need to keep your safety and comfort in mind as we allow shoppers into the store.  We ask for your understanding.  We STRONGLY urge you to leave children at home before noon on opening day, as this is when we are the busiest.  We love children…that’s why we’re in business.  But our setting, coupled with the rush of shoppers, does not make it easy for you to shop with children.  You will make better use of your shopping time if you don’t have to tend to your children at the same time.  We’re sorry, but we reserve the right to restrict the admission of diaper bags and strollers into the store at any time.  After the rush is over, we’re happy for you to bring those items in; we just ask that you stop by the register area on your way in and allow one of our volunteers to tag your personal items before you shop.

 

If you find that you must shop with your children, we must insist that they remain by your side at all times.  We are mindful that the consigned toys do not belong to us.  Our first responsibility is to be a good steward of those things left in our care.  Children naturally want to play with toys, and our toys are not presented in their original packaging.  This situation makes it easy for children to open bags and separate parts which belong to our consignors.  We do not wish to offend anyone; however, we simply cannot have children play with the toys that belong to our consignors.  Further, our setting with racks and shelves can make for a dangerous setting for unattended children.  For their safety as well, we must insist that your children remain by your side and properly supervised at all times.  We appreciate your understanding.

 

We are sorry, but if you must bring children while you shop, you must not bring food or drink into the store.  These areas are carpeted, and no food or drinks are allowed.  You are more than welcome to go outside if your child/ren need(s) a snack.

 

Regardless of when you shop, you may want to wear layered clothing, as it can get warm with body heat.  We are fortunate to have a climate-controlled facility, but during peak sale hours you may want to have the ability to add or shed layers! 

 

We ask that you be a kind shopper!  Sometimes in the rush of the moment, we all forget our manners.  But if we all try to be kind and treat others as we want them to treat us, it makes for a much more pleasant shopping experience. 

 

Being a kind shopper also entails putting unwanted things back where they belong.  After you make your selections, we urge you to put all of your unwanted items back where others may find them.  And as you shop, if you find things out of place, please take a moment and put them where they belong.  If all shoppers helped in this way, everyone’s shopping experience would be much more pleasant!

 

WeeRuns accepts VISA/Mastercard, as well as personal checks.  For credit card purchases, we ask that you have a $35.00 minimum.  We have separate check-out lines for cash/check and credit card purchases.  Please be aware of this division when checking out to ensure you are in the correct line.

 

Due to the nature of the consignment sale, unfortunately we are unable to make refunds.  All sales are final, so if you have ANY questions regarding a potential purchase, please ask before you go through the check out line.  We’re more than happy to check batteries or assist in any way to protect you during the purchasing process.  When in doubt about anything, please seek the assistance of one of our volunteers.
